 ASO Turbilatex

The ASO Turbilatex is a quantitative turbidimetric test for the measurement of RF in human serum or plasma. Latex particles coated with Streptolysin O are agglutinated when mixed with samples containing anitbodies against streptolysin O. The agglutination causes an absorbance change, dependent upon the antibody contents of sample that can be quantified by comparison from a calibrator of known ASO concentration.

Intended Use:

Test for estimation of antibodies against Streptolysin ‘’O ‘’ by using Latex turbidmertric method.

Summary:

Streptolysin “O” is a toxic immunogenic exoenzyme produced by haemolytic Streptococci of groups A, C and G. Measuring the ASO antibodies are useful for the diagnostic of rheumatoid fever, acute glomerulonephritis and streptococcal infection. Rheumatic fever is an inflammatory disease affecting connective tissue from several parts of human body as skin, heart, joints etc. and acute glomerulonephritis is a renal infection that affects mainly to renal glomerulus.

Principle:

The ASO-Turbilatex is a quantitative turbidimetric test for the detection of anti-steptolysin “O” (ASO) antibodies in human serum/plasma. Latex particles coated with steptolysin “O” are agglutinated when mixed with samples containing ASO. The agglutination causes an absorbance change, dependent upon the ASO contents of the patient sample that can be quantified by comparison from a calibrator of known ASO concentration.

RF Turbilatex

The RF Turbilatex is a quantitative turbidimetric test for the measurement of RF in human serum or plasma. Latex particles coated with human gammaglobulin are agglutinated when mixed with samples containing RF. The agglutination causes an absorbance change, dependent upon the RF contents of sample that can be quantified by comparison from a calibrator of known RF concentration.

Intended Use:

Test for quantitative determination of Rheumatoid Factors by using Latex Turbidimetric method.

Summary:

Rheumatoid factors are a group of antibodies directed to determinants in the Fc portion of the immunoglobulin G molecule. Although rheumatoid factors are found in a number of rheumatoid disorders, such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and Sjogren’s syndrome, as well as in nonrheumatic conditions, its central role in clinic lies its utility as an aid in the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). A study of the ‘American College of Rheumatology’, shows that the 80.4% RA patients were RF positive.

CRP Turbilatex

CRP Turbilatex is a quantitative turbidimetric test for the measurement of Creactive protein (CRP) in human serum or plasma. Latex particles coated with specific anti- human CRP are agglutinated when mixed with samples containing CRP. The agglutination causes an absorbance change, dependent upon the CRP contents of the patient sample that can be quantified by comparison from a calibrator of known CRP concentration.

Intended Use:

Test for quantitative determination of C-Reactive Protein (CRP) by using Latex Turbidimetric method.

Summary:

CRP is an acute-phase protein present in normal serum, which increases significantly after most forms of tissue injuries, bacterial and virus infections, inflammation and malignant neoplasia. During tissue necrosis and inflammation, resulting from microbial infections, the CRP concentration can rise up to 300 mg/L in 12-24 hours.

Principle:

CRP-Turbilatex is a quantitative turbidimetric test for the measurement of C-reactive protein (CRP) in human serum or plasma. Latex particles coated with specific anti- human CRP antibody are agglutinated when mixed with samples containing CRP. HBA1C-Turbilatex

Intended Use:

Test for estimation of Glycohemoglobin in human whole blood by using Latex turbidimetric method.

Summary:

Glycosylated Haemoglobin (GHb) is formed continuously by the addition of glucose by covalent bonding to the amino-terminal valine of the haemoglobin beta chain progressively & irreversibly over a period of time & is stable till the life of the RBC. This process is slow, non-enzymatic and is dependent on the average blood glucose concentration over a period of time. HbA1c is a glycated product of haemoglobin A0 (HbA1c), the predominant form of haemoglobin in adults. Measurement of the percentage of HbA1c reflects the mean blood glucose concentration over the preceding one to two months, and is therefore considered to be an important diagnostic marker for monitoring blood glucose levels.

Principle:

HbA1c-Turbilatex is a quantitative turbidimetric test for the measurement of Glycohemoglobin A1c percent in human whole blood. In first reaction HbA1c interacts with antihuman haemoglobin A1c mouse monoclonal antibody-sensitized latex and in the second reaction, it will further interact with anti-human haemoglobin A1c mouse monoclonal antibody labelled-anti-mouse. IgG goat polyclonal antibody. Then, measure absorbance of coagulated reaction solution and determine the ratio of Hba1c volume against total Hb amount from concentration of HbA1c and values of calibrator
